JLA Asia continues to grow its Chinese practice with the appointment Professor Li Shuguang


JLA Asia is delighted to announce that the highly respected academic, Professor Li Shuguang, has joined our team as an advisor to the firm. Since the mid-1980s, Professor Li has been conducting research on bankruptcy and restructuring in China and is a pioneer in China in the field of insolvency and restructuring.
Professor Li is the Chairman of the China Bankruptcy Law and Restructuring Research Center, the membership association of INSOL in China and was involved with the drafting of various legislation in China including the Enterprise Bankruptcy Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Enterprise State-owned Asset Law of the People’s Republic of China, the PRC Partnership Enterprise Law and the PRC Investment Funds Law.
Professor Li is a Fellow of the 19th class of the American College of Bankruptcy. He also holds a variety of senior positions in Chinese academia and is a member of the Listing Committee of the China Main Board.
