Gabriel is an Associate Director of JLA Asia forensic team. He is experienced in various complicated financial dispute matters including commercial, matrimonial and probate disputes.
Gabriel specialises in forensic accounting and is often engaged by lawyers to provide litigation support in various cross-border dispute matters. He regularly assists legal teams in wide range of issues such as investigating undisclosed assets, funds tracing, fraudulent activities, etc. He has extensive experience in conducting business valuations across a wide range of industries varying from small family businesses to large multinational groups.
Gabriel assisted the Single Joint Expert to prepare an Expert Report in order to (a) determine the fair market value of a group of companies specializing in PCB manufacturing (market cap of at least RMB12b), (b) analyse the growth in value, and (c) identify and quantify whether the group was the result of active or passive factors.
Gabriel assisted the instructing solicitors to review the documents provided by Husband (who is a partner of an international investment bank) and prepared questionnaire for discovery purposes. During the course of investigation, Gabriel traced the funds flowed between various bank and investment accounts owned by the Husband to potential undisclosed accounts/destinations.
Gabriel prepared reports for estate administrators to summarise all asset realization and debts repayment during the administration (over 20 years and over HKD200m assets).
